Kyra’s Story
I grew up in Vallejo, Ca and relocated to the East Bay in 2021 where I first met Candace the following year. We had our first date at a local Jamaican fusion restaurant where I recall my future WIFE walked in with the brightest yellow sunflowers and the most beautiful smile. As I hugged her for the first time I could feel our butterflies fluttering together. She was beautiful, inquisitive, and a impartial listener. I fell in love with Candace for the simple amazing human being she is. There has never been someone I have been so confident about doing this thing we call life with.
Our Relationship
We met on HINGE and yes to this day we both can’t believe it. As we were two unknowingly individuals who swore off online dating. Yet a quick slip of the DM’s was the key that unlocked the future we both had been holding out for. Love came easily as we desired similar things and as we talked the more we aligned. Sometimes it feels that the alignment was the moment we knew that this was a forever connection. And so it came to be Mrs. & Mrs. Akaigbe!!
Candace’s Story
I grew up in San Diego, but I moved to the Bay Area with a big dream of doing even more. I met Kyra on Hinge, and we started chatting on the phone and FaceTime for hours. We quickly became best friends and then took the leap to move from virtual meet-ups to lots of wonderful dates at amazing places. Sometimes, our dates were walks in the park, picnics at the park, and delicious food. Our time together is always filled with big smiles, interesting conversations, and endless butterflies.
